Week 3
The dual-threat rookie QB Ben Reynolds shocked the Patriots by leading Miami to a huge upset over New England in Foxboro. The 'Fins also ran all over New England, featuring a quartet rushing attack with Reynolds, Daniel Thomas, rookie RB Jaleel Kirkwood, and Reggie Bush, and with Kirkwood, Bush, and Reynolds averaging over 5 yards per carry on several attempts. Dolphins win a shootout, 40-36.
Week 4
The Patriots win (barely) shootout against Hasselbeck's Titans
The Patriots overcame a halftime deficit to defeat Tennessee by a single touchdown in another extreme shootout, 48-41. Brady had to shatter the NFL passing yards in a single game record of 554 yards set by Norm Van Brocklin in 1951 and Warren Moon's 1990 record of 527 yards with no interceptions, but Hasselback was hot on his heels, nearly also breaking Moon's record. The Patriots now sit at 3 and 1 on the season.
