Giants Online CFM - Season 2 (games, highlights, recaps, resignings, draft board prospects)

For the sake of realism, I let Hakeem Nicks, Justin Tuck, David Diehl and Andre Brown all walk in Free Agency. Signed Sean Lee and Daryl Smith in FA though to shore up my LB corps, and got Herman Lovett (FS, 81 OVR) with my first choice in the draft (only used scout points, no draft-guide cheating), and accidentally missed my 2nd round pick and the CPU auto-picked HB LeTevin Stead, who has done a decent job so far in spelling Wilson.
I'm 2-0 so far this season after wins over Seattle and Dallas. Coughlin retired after our NFC Conf. Championship loss last year, and was replaced by the CPU auto-pick Demetrius Thomas, aka "Coach Jabba." Interestingly, Hakeem ended up with the 'Skins, who are also 2-0 on the season so far.

Final
Just had the best game of my life. Season 2, Week 3 - against the E-gals at Lincoln Financial. Still need to type up the box score because this game had so many big lead changes, I went from thinking I'd win, to lose, to win, to lose, and then thanks to a last second FG, to win.

Week 4
FedEx Field, Landover, Maryland

New York
Giants (80 ovr)

Washington
Redskins(84 ovr)
31-37
Former Giants WR Hakeem Nicks looked great in his first match-up against his old team, and no matter what they did, this was a game where RGIII & Co. held the lead throughout despite how narrow it got at times, and the 'Skins continue to roll and go undefeated, move to 4-0 on the season.

Week 5 - The Battle for MetLife (a/k/a NY Bowl) - 3-1 NYG (80 OVR) vs. 2-2 NYJ (78 OVR)
This game was never close, as NYG rolls 27-3 - the otherwise-underperforming MLB Sean Lee had a big day with 2 INTs against Geno.

Week 6 Preview & At-a-Glance Review
Redskins lead NFC East at 5-0, with NYG and Dallas right behind at 4-1. After a great season last year, the Eagles are 0-5 due to injuries.

Weeks 6 & 7 - After a blowout win against Miami in which we saw Giants DB Prince Amukamara nab 3 INTs, and the 'Fins blow up Ryan Nassib's victory kneeldown...
... then the R-Skins complete the season sweep against the Giants, and the Patriots destroyed NYG to the tune of 41-21.
Patriots QB Tom Brady had a banner day against NY's lackluster pass defense (unlike against Tannehill, 4 INTs) Brady had 4 TDs and only 1 INT, and nearly 400 yards passing.

Things won't get easier in Week 8, versus the on-fire 7&1 Saints. To make things worse for NY, the NFC East race has heated even more, with the Redskins an amazing 7&1, Dallas at 6-2, and NYG in third place at 5-3.
