In what can only be hailed as another variant of 2007, the team the New York Giants faced at the end of the regular season (back then, the New England Patriots, now the Baltimore Ravens) is the AFC Champion and the same team that NYG will face in the Super Bowl (after overcoming in 2 snow-filled MetLife Stadium games, the AP & Co's Vikings and shutting down RGIII and the 'Skins, highlights below):
3/5/13
Sea. 2, Wk. 17 (PREVIEW) - 12-3 Giants square off against 14-2 Ravens
Week 17 - After arguably failing their earlier "test" against Atlanta, the Giants get another pre-playoff chance to show the NFL that they can take on one of the NFL's best teams and win, like they did against the Saints (albeit very non-glamorously and barely so, only after rallying in the final quarter after injuring New Orleans' superstar QB Drew Brees). Will the G-Men enjoy a convincing win this time?
